Item Setting Notes
ASPECT CONV Selects the aspect ratio for recording at 480i, 576i.
SIDE CROP:
Crops the right and left edges of the image.
LETTER BOX:
Adds black bands at the top and bottom of the image.
SQUEEZE:
Compresses the image horizontally.
• Not available when SYSTEM
MODE is set to 1080i or 720P.
• Not available when compiling
to a clip in one-clip recording
mode.
SETUP Sets the setup level of 480i video signals.
0%:
Setup is switched to 0 % for both output and recording
signals.
7.5% A:
Setup is switched to 7.5 % for the output signal and 0 %
for the recording signal.
• Not displayed in 1080-50i, 720-
50P, 576-50i.
PC MODE
SELECT
Sets camera-recorder operating mode when an external
device is connected via USB.
USB HOST:
Selects USB 2.0 for connecting an external hard disk
drive. (Page 111)
USB DEVICE:
Makes it possible to connect the camera-recorder to a
personal computer via USB 2.0 to enable use of a P2 card
as mass storage. (Page 109)
