Using focus assist function

Pressing the FOCUS ASSIST button magnifies the
image at the center to facilitate focusing.
Set the menu option FOCUS BAR to ON in the
DISPLAY SETUP screen to display the focus bar.

FOCUS ASSIST button

This function magnifies only the image at the

center of the LCD monitor and viewfinder.

It is not superimposed on signals output

via the VIDEO OUT, SDI OUT and HDMI OUT

connectors.

EXPANDED: (FOCUS ASSIST button)

Trebles the size of the center of the image.
The status indication and the zebra pattern
disappears and EXPANDED appears at the top
of the screen.

EXPANDED

• The EXPANDED display is available only during

recording and does not work in external input
mode.

In VIDEO OUT, SDI OUT, and HDMI OUT, the

center of the image is not magnified and

status indications do not appear.

FOCUS BAR: (DISPLAY SETUP menu)

The length of the bar indicates whether the image
is in focus.
The focus bar extends to the far right when the
image is in focus.

Out of focus

The bar extends to

the right when the

image is in focus.
