Description

Item

Double clicking the icon for an extended consistency
group shows the storage systems registered in the
extended consistency group.

◦ Free: Selecting this item shows extended consistency

groups in which no journal groups are registered.

Double-clicking this item shows LDKCs.
Double-clicking an LDKC shows extended consistency
groups in which no journal groups are registered.

Shows information about extended consistency groups,
storage systems, or journal groups. For details, see the
following items.

EXCTG Operation list

Detailed information about operations that will occur
when you click Apply.

Preview list

◦ List: Shows changes made in the window before the

changes are applied to the storage systems. When
the information in Preview is correct, click Apply to
apply the new settings.

◦ Operation: Indicates the current operation.

Add JNLG to EXCTG: Register journal groups in
extended consistency groups

Remove JNLG from EXCTG: Delete journal groups
from an extended consistency group

The number to the left of the slash (/) indicates the
number of items (such as, rows) appearing in the

Preview

Preview list. The number to the right of the slash
indicates the maximum number of items that can appear
in the Preview list.

NOTE:

Information on the EXCTG Operation window is updated when you do one of the following:

Click Apply.

Select another tab and then reselect the EXCTG Operation tab.

Click File, Refresh on the menu bar of the Remote Web Console main window.

Select Modify mode when you are in View mode.

Displaying a List of Extended Consistency Groups

The EXCTG Operation window allows you to view a list of extended consistency groups.

To view a list of extended consistency groups:

1.

Display the EXCTG Operation window.

2.

Do one of the following in the tree:

To view all extended consistency groups, select EXCTG.

To view extended consistency groups in which journal groups are registered, select
Registered. To display extended consistency groups belonging to an LDKC, select the
LDKC from those listed below Registered.

To view extended consistency groups in which no journal group is registered, select Free.
To view extended consistency groups belonging to an LDKC, select the LDKC from those
listed below Free.

The extended consistency groups are displayed in the upper right list:
