Table 1 System Option Modes (continued)

Description

Mode

Mode 511 ON: The upper limit of the usage rate of the
journal data in the journal volume is 40%.

Mode 511 OFF: The upper limit of the usage rate of the
journal data in the journal volume is 70%.

To change the displayed consistency time (C/T) when the
Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair status is Duplex,
set this mode to ON.

530

Mode 530 ON: The copy completion time from the master
journal volume to the restore journal volume of the journal
data is displayed in C/T.

Mode 530 OFF: The completion time when the journal
data is restored to the data volume is displayed in C/T.

In the configuration where multiple MCUs share an RCU
(Universal Replicator for Mainframe Mx1 configuration),

593

the mirror resynchronization or delta resync operation may
fail due to SSB=EB9D. SSB=EB9D is output as SSB log
when the parameter of the communication command is not
saved in the shared memory. To reduce the number of
multiprocessing of the communication command issued
from MCU to RCU for the status transition of each pair, set
this mode to ON. By setting this mode to ON, you can
prevent mirror resynchronization or delta resync operation
from failing.

Mode 593 ON: The multiprocessing of the communication
command issued from MCU to RCU is up to 128 pairs per
DKC.

Mode 593 OFF: The multiprocessing of the communication
command issued from MCU to RCU is up to 1024 pairs
per DKC.

The host I/O response might decrease while the Universal
Replicator for Mainframe pair is resynchronized. To

760

suppress increase in the MP utilization rate by the
differential bitmap retrieval processing when
resynchronizing the pair, set this mode to ON. You can
reduce host I/O response by setting this mode to ON.

Mode 760 ON: Decrease in host I/O response during the
Universal Replicator for Mainframe resync operation is
reduced.

Mode 760 OFF: Normal operations are performed.

Use this mode in the Universal Replicator for Mainframe
extended consistency group configuration. If Business

762

Continuity Manager issues the Flush request to the primary
data volume of the Universal Replicator for Mainframe
pair, and the Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair
receives the suspend command, to reflect the data up to
the time specified in the command to the secondary data
volume, set this mode to ON.

Mode 762 ON: When the Universal Replicator for
Mainframe pair receives the suspend command, the data
up to the time specified in the suspend command is
reflected to the secondary data volume.

Mode 762 OFF: The time stamp of the latest data received
in each restore journal group may be different. In this case,
the time stamps of data in restore journals are compared,
and data up to the oldest time stamp is reflected to
secondary data volumes.
