To change the system into a 3DC multi-target configuration:
1. Use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKDELETE command (a command for releasing
a pair) on the journal group corresponding to the former Universal Replicator for Mainframe
pair.
2. If pair resynchronization has not been performed to reverse the primary volume and the remote
volume of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair (that is, if the pair is suspended),
use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKRESYNC command (a command for
re-establishing a pair), so that the copy direction of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous
pair will be reversed.

Failures
Transferring Business Tasks from the TrueCopy for Mainframe Secondary Site to the Primary Site
(in a 3DC Cascading Configuration)
If the system is changed to a 3DC cascading configuration after you have followed the operation
procedure in
“Recovering from Failures in the Primary Site and the TrueCopy for Mainframe
Synchronous Secondary Site” (page 95) , you can transfer your business tasks back to the primary
site after removing failures from the primary site and other locations.
To transfer your business tasks back to the primary site, follow the procedure below. Business
Continuity Manager is used in this procedure.
1. When the Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair is in Duplex status, use Business Continuity
Manager to execute the YKSUSPEND Flash FORWARD command on the Universal Replicator
for Mainframe pair.
2. Use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKSUSPND FORWARD command (a command
for splitting a pair and stopping the copy operation temporarily) to the TrueCopy for Mainframe
Synchronous pair.
3. Use the primary volume in the primary site to resume your business tasks.
4. Use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKRESYNC FORWARD command (a command
for re-establishing a pair) on the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair, so that the copy
direction of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair will be returned to the original
state. The system configuration changes to the original 3DC multi-target configuration.
