Used with the XP disk array, Universal Replicator for Mainframe software enables storage
management and disaster recovery in heterogeneous systems, providing maximum
flexibility and support of enterprise-class environments. ◦
◦ Universal Replicator for Mainframe software supports any storage connected to an XP
disk array, permitting data to be copied from any supported device to any other supported
device, regardless of operating system or protocol differences. This ensures maximum
flexibility for data distribution as well as increased storage utilization and failover options.

Universal Replicator for Mainframe software uses asynchronous replication driven by the
remote site to minimize impact on primary production systems and takes advantage of ◦

◦ Limited use of cache leaves cache for production application usage, further restoring
