11.2.4.1 Port Settings Tab
Port Settings is the default tab upon opening the System Properties window. See
Figure 11-15 .
The CMS5000 List option allows the user to add or change the name of the
instrument as it appears in the CMS IQ System Setup Screen. This option is also
used to connect the PC to the laptop via TCP/IP. See Appendix B for instructions
on connecting a CMS5000 to a PC.
To change the System Name for the PC display:
1 Click CMS5000 List. See Figure 11-15 .

2 Double-click the System Name to first highlight, then edit the text. This allows
the user to change the IP address to a name if it is being used as the system
name. See
Figure 11-16 .
