ConcFlow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the desorbed sample from the

concentrator onto the column.

ColumnFlow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the carrier gas flow directly through

the column and is selected after ConcFlow to
carry the sample completely through the
column.

DryPurge . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs carrier gas through the concentrator

to remove excess moisture and is used after
ConcFill or CkStdConcFill. For water
sampling only.

HSCreate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Bubbles carrier gas into the water sample to

create the headspace. For water sampling
only.

Other . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Activates the Valve States menu to create a

custom GC inlet state and is often used for
GC troubleshooting. These options are
described below. See

Figure 15-12

GCFlow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs carrier gas through the GC.

HSFlow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs carrier gas into the headspace. For

water methods only.

Sample. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Opens valve to direct the sample through the

concentrator.

Purge . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the sample through the sample

pathway and out through the exhaust vent.

Sample Pump . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Turns on the sample pump.

ConcHeater . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Turns of the concentrator heater.
