Faulty operation in case of earth faults possible
The correct functioning of the safety function is not ensured if an earth fault occurs.
Possible consequences:
ƒ A failure of the safety function can lead to death, severe injuries or damage to
material.
Protective measures:
The electrical reference point for the coil of the safety relay K
SR
must be connected to
the PE conductor system (EN 60204−1, paragraph 9.4.3)!

Danger to life through improper installation
Improper installation of the safety engineering systems may cause an uncontrolled
starting action of the drives.
Possible consequences:
ƒ Death, severe injuries, or damage to material assets during an uncontrolled starting
action of the drives.
Protective measures:
ƒ Shielded installation of all control cables connected to the FIF module is essential to
reduce interference injection.
ƒ Apply the shield to a large surface of the EMC sheet.
