Channel Configuration Menu

This menu lets you enable or disable all channels, enable or disable individual
channels, or select a range of channels to enable/disable.

Configure Idle

Channel Code

Type “6” on the E1 Configuration menu to assign a value to idle channels.

NOTICE:

Auto Detect DS0 assumes a channel is active if it sees the channel does
not contain the idle code.

Configure Clock

Source

To Configure the Clock Source, follow the steps below.

Type “8” on the E1 Configuration menu to select Configure Clock Source,
which will display the Select Tx Clock Source menu (Figure 4.24) with a
status message.

Type “1” to select External or Slave mode, or type “2” to select Internal
or Master mode.

Display Physical Layer

Stats and Alarm Log

The physical layer statistics displays the T1/E1 error rate in errors per second
for the past second.
