c. Verify the boom is fully retracted and press the

ENTER key on the analyzer.

d. If the boom length is within the acceptable range,

the first calibration point will be accepted and the
analyzer will display “BM LNGTH CAL POS 2” on
the top line and “BOOM EXTENDED?” on the
bottom line.

e. Extend the boom to the end of stroke then press

the ENTER key on the analyzer.

f. If the boom length is within the acceptable range,

the calibration point will be accepted and the
analyzer will display “CAL COMPLETE”;
otherwise “CAL FAILED”.

g. If “CAL FAILED”, make necessary adjustments

and repeat the calibration process.

d. Fork Sensor Calibration

1. Park the machine on a firm, level surface, level the

machine, fully retract the boom, place the
transmission control lever in (N) NEUTRAL and
engage the park brake.

2. With the hand held analyzer, put the machine into

access level 2 (Access Level 2 Code: 33271).

a. Under the “CALIBRATION” menu, enter the

“FORK LENGTH” calibration.

b. When calibrating the fork length sensor, the

analyzer will display “FORK CAL POS 1” on the
top line and “FORKS DOWN?” on the bottom
line.

c. Fully retract the fork cylinder (i.e. forks moved

down) then press the ENTER key on the
analyzer.

d. If the fork length is within the acceptable range,

the first calibration point will be accepted and the
analyzer will display “FORK CAL POS 2” on the
top line and “FORKS UP?” on the bottom line.

e. Fully extend the fork cylinder (i.e. forks moved

up) then press the ENTER key on the analyzer.

f. If the fork length is within the acceptable range,

the calibration point will be accepted and the
analyzer will display “CAL COMPLETE”;
otherwise “CAL FAILED”.

g. If “CAL FAILED”, make necessary adjustments

and repeat the calibration process.

9.15.6

Emergency Boom Lowering
Procedure

1. Turn keyswitch on, but ensure the engine is off.

2. With the hand held analyzer, put the machine into

access level 2 (Access Level 2 Code: 33271).

3. Under the “MACHINE SETUP” menu, enter the

“EMERGENCY LOWER” submenu.

4. Use the UP ARROW on the analyzer to select

“ENABLE” and press the ENTER key of the
analyzer.

5. Using the boom joystick, fully retract the boom

(telescope in) if the boom is extended.

Note: The emergency boom lowering procedure is
achieved by gravity, therefore it is important to fully
retract the boom prior to lowering the boom.

6. After boom is fully retracted, use the boom joystick to

completely lower the boom.

WARNING

Ensure the forks remain relatively level as the boom is
lowered to prevent losing any load on the forks.
