BOOM RIDE
VALVE – SHORT
TO GROUND OR
OPEN CIRCUIT

4577

ISP detects too large of an
error between coil drive
current and feedback.
Detected during startup or
when entering Boom Ride
Mode.

N

Inspect wiring for physical damage.

Check for continuity through this circuit.

On the 12-pin ISP controller connector,
verify that the BOOM RIDE VLV wire in pin
6 and BOOM RIDE VLV RTN in pin 7 are
properly seated, as well as the
connections on the Boom Ride Valve coil .

Current Command and Feedback values
may be monitored via the Analyzer under
Diagnostics/ISP to help with the
assessment.

LIFT VALVE COIL
1 – SHORT TO
BATTERY

4547

Lift valve controller detects
uncommanded current in
feedback circuit.

Y

Check for continuity through this circuit.

Inspect wiring for physical damage.

Disconnect Lift V1 coil connection, cycle
power, and verify that fault changes to
DTC 4546 (open circuit); then check the
V1 coil connector/pins and wiring. If the
fault remains, remove the 12-pin
connector and verify the integrity of the
connector pins of both the controller and
harness, then dislodge LIFT V1 RTN pin
from the connector, reconnect the 12-pin
connector, and cycle power. If the fault still
remains, dislodge the LIFT V1 pin,
reconnect, and cycle power. If the fault
persists, continue this pattern until all the
wires are dislodged. If the only wires
remaining are power and CAN Bus and a
STB fault still exists, then the fault lies
within the valve controller and
replacement is necessary.
