Synchronous Z Consistency Preservation Function is used at the secondary site, a command device
is required at the secondary site.

NOTE:

To operate the primary site storage systems at the secondary site, you need to transfer

the configuration files created at the primary site to the secondary site.

Secondary site without a host

When a host is not installed at the secondary site, you can perform a remote scan from the primary
site to acquire volume information of the secondary site. You do not need to transfer the configuration
files from the primary site to the secondary site.

Figure 80 (page 143)

shows the process flow for defining a 2DC configuration without a host at

the secondary site. The step numbers indicated in

Figure 80 (page 143)

corresponds to the procedures
