4x4x4 Multi-Target configuration
This configuration is a combination of a 4x4 configuration and a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-S Z x
Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration. Between the primary site and the local site, a Continuous Access
Synchronous Z copy group is used. Between the primary site and the remote site, the Continuous
Access Journal Z copy group that defined an extended consistency group (EXCTG) is used. Although
the 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configurations cannot preserve consistency across
multiple storage systems, the 4x4x4 Multi-Target configurations can preserve consistency across
multiple storage systems in an EXCTG. The following figure shows a 4x4x4 Multi-Target configuration
with the Delta Resync function.
