Performing Operations When a Failure Occurs for a Volume in a Copy Group
When a volume in a copy group suffers a hardware failure, you must remove the cause of the
failure and perform a recovery as soon as possible. Use the methods shown in
if you still need to perform the operations after a failure occurs, but before a recovery can be
performed.

Recovering from a Cnt Ac-J Z Failure
This section explains how to recover from a Cnt Ac-J Z failure.
Types of Failures
The types of Cnt Ac-J Z failure are as follows:
•
Failure during a failover
•
PSOFF or severed power
#
•
Others
Lack of copy pairs
◦
◦
Inter-disk controller communication failure/full journal
◦
Internal storage system failure
◦
Line failure
#
PSOFF refers to when a storage system is turned off, whereas severed power refers to when the
supply of electricity to the storage system is cut off, such as during a power outage.
