First, set the items that need to be set by using Remote Web Console from among the items listed
in

.

This section explains how to define a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration from
the ISPF panel.

For details about how to operate the ISPF panels, see

“Using the ISPF panels” (page 518)

.

The figures in the procedures in this section use the following legend.

Performing a scan

Perform a scan that includes the volumes to be defined in the copy group and the command device.
In a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration, operations might be required at each
site; therefore, you need to perform a scan from each host, instead of a Remote Scan, to acquire
the correct information, such as the device number (Devn).

To perform a scan from each host in a 3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration to
acquire information:
1.

Scan the primary site from the primary host.

2.

Scan remote site 1 from remote host 1.

3.

Scan remote site 2 from remote host 2.

4.

Transfer the scan results of each site to all other sites so that each site has the scan results from
all sites.
