9 Using the ISPF panels
This chapter explains how to use the ISPF panels to perform basic Business Continuity Manager
operations. The ISPF panels themselves are described in detail in the HP XP P9000 for Business
Continuity Manager Software Reference Guide.
Acquiring volume information
This section explains how to acquire volume information, assuming that the prefix of the configuration
file is CONFIG01.
Local scan procedure
This section explains how to perform a local scan (to acquire information about the local site's
storage system), using the volume configuration example shown in
Figure 120 (page 518) .

Scanning a device locally on the primary site (local scan)
To scan a volume on the primary site:
1.
Display the Main Menu panel and choose 1 Set Defaults.
The Set Defaults panel to specify various default values is displayed.
