Web Client Issues

This section contains information that may help you troubleshoot your FactoryTalk
Historian ME web client.

If the MAC address scrolls

across the display:

The Ethernet port has failed to acquire an IP

address.

Reboot the module.

For any issue, follow the guidelines provided in the “General Guidelines” section
of this appendix.

Web Client Symptom

Solution

If you cannot access the

FactoryTalk Historian

ME web client:

First check that the IP address you are trying to

connect to is the same as the one scrolling across the

FactoryTalk Historian ME module’s display. If you see

a MAC address instead, that means that the module

can’t find the IP address from the DHCP server.

Reboot the module.

If the web client is

unresponsive:

Go to Web Diagnostics, Firmware tab, Web Server
Configuration

page and click [Restart Webs].

or

Go to the FactoryTalk Historian ME Module Prop-

erties page in AOP. In the Configuration tab, click

[Restore Defaults].
