Quick Start Interface DIP Switch Settings
Although the 10/100BASE-TX UTP interface is factory configured for auto negotiation, it is recommended
that the configuration of each individual interface be confirmed prior to the connection of the 9135 Two-
Port Switch or 9140 Four-Port Switch to any equipment. The fixed speed 10BASE-FL and 100BASE-FX
fiber interfaces are configured for full-duplex operation (reference Table 1-1 for factory default settings).
The 10/100BASE-TX UTP interface (see Figure 1-4) can be configured manually or set for auto
negotiation mode. The various modes of operation include:
•
Auto Negotiation
•
10Mbps Half-duplex and Full-duplex
•
100Mbps Half-duplex and Full-duplex

Note: Since the 9140 is a Four-Port device and LLF is designed to operate with two ports, interfaces
inserted into the 9140 with LLF enabled will function normally but will have LLF disabled.
