5.2.5 Diagnostics

The Diagnostics menu allows the user to perform Ping and Sniffer type diagnostics. See Figure 5-32.

5.2.5.1

Ping

Ping is a diagnostic routine in which the user can send out a signal, or Ping, to a known remote unit where
the remote unit will receive it and return a reply.

Enter the address of the unit to be Pinged, the number of Pings to transmit (0-999, with 0 being infinite)
and select "Start Pinging." From this routine the user will know that the link to the remote unit is valid and
the round trip time for a response. To stop Ping, press the ESC key. See Figure 5-33 for Ping screens.
