Wall Mount Installation

For a Wall Mount installation, the 9135 and 9140 Four-Port Switch feature two wall mount holes located
on the bottom of the unit. A template for wall mounting is included in the unit package. These allow you to
mount the Switch in locations that have space limitations. The holes on the Switch are located on a 9.5-inch
center as shown in Figure 3-2. Insert the screws (not included) into the wall on the 9.5-inch center so that
they line up with the wall mount holes on the Switch and carefully set it onto the screws.

Note: A flat head wood or sheet metal screw is recommended.

Stand Alone Installation

If you are using the 9135 Two-Port Switch or 9140 Four-Port Switch as a stand-alone unit, place it on a
secure, flat surface. Ensure that the unit is within reach of the necessary connections:

Power outlet

Ethernet connections

As with all electronic devices, ensure adequate airflow is provided around the unit since some heat is
generated. Make sure the fan, Figure 3-3, on the rear panel is not blocked.
