Note: The SLIP IP address should be on a different subnet from your LAN or any other network
interface using TCP/IP Stack. Verify that "Force IP header compression" and "Use default
gateway on remote network" selections are NOT checked.
Step 7 Select "Script" tab. Select "Pop up a terminal window." Click OK.
Step 8 The "Dial-Up Networking" screen should appear at this point with the new properties assigned.

Attach a phone line to the modem of the computer and click "Dial" to make the connection with
the remote 9135 or 9140.

e: In order to confirm connection to the remote device, open open an MSDOS window , i.e. Windows
" Programs " menu and select " Commands Prompt " and "ping" the device using its SLIP IP
address. To ping the device from the MSDOS screen, type "ping" and the IP address of the device
