4. Password Enable: no
5. SLIP Password: (only applicable if password setting is enabled)
6. SLIP IP Address: (specified by the customer)
7. SLIP Subnet Mask: (specified by the customer)
8. SLIP Port Setup: 9600, N, 8, 1
Notice that the parameters have been changed automatically. The 9135 or 9140 is now configured to be
managed via SLIP connection.

Setting up a Serial Line IP (SLIP) Connection with
Windows NT
Step 1 Verify that a modem is installed in the computer that will be used for the SLIP session. The
modem, which is normally configured when Windows NT is installed, should be listed under
Modems in the Control Panel screen. Move the cursor to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel and
double click on the modem icon. See Figure B-4.

Step 2 Confirm that a modem is installed, as shown in Figure B-4a and that it is correctly configured with
a communications port.
