Users are not affected when friendly password is enabled. When friendly password is disabled, users
who are already logged in with a weak password will be forced to set a strong password before the user
can proceed with other actions in the web interface.
NOTE!
Friendly password is not available to all cameras.
5.9.8 Watermark
Use watermark to encrypt custom information in videos to prevent tampering.
NOTE!
• Watermarks can be verified using EZPlayer (available for download from Uniview website).
• For devices with two video channels, watermark parameters need to be configured for the
channels separately.
Go to Setup > Security > Watermark .
Enable Watermark .
Set watermark contents, which may include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits. Up to 16
characters are allowed.
Click Save .
5.9.9 WebSockets
WebSockets encrypts data based on SSL. You can enable WebSockets to enhance the security of data
transmission.
Go to Setup > Security > Network Security > WebSockets .
Enable WebSockets .
Click Save .
