UseGrid

String

Any number of characters

Range

The SDA2 software assigns which grid the cursors should appear, so that they are on the same grid
as the Eye diagram they are associated with. The user should not change this setting.

Description

View

Bool

Sets/Queries the trace's 'Viewed' state. When true, the trace is displayed on one of the display
graticules. Note that even when a trace is not visible, it may be used as a source for Math, Measure,
etc.

PARAMETERS

app.SDA2.EyeMeasure.Parameters

These controls correspond to the checkboxes in the Eye Parameters right dialog for the Eye Measure menu. Each
one turns one a parameter. If any are on, a new parameter table titled "SDA Eye" appears with the selected
parameters. (If a dual eye mode is selected, two parameters appear: one whose name begins "Eye" and the other
whose name begins "Eye2"). Since there are 11 parameters, and only 8 slots in a parameter table, any parameter
checked after the table is filled cannot be displayed in the table. If another parameter is turned off, the table fills that
slot with what was previously the 9th parameter, etc. In a Dual Eye mode, turning on four parameters will fill the table.
Most of the eye vertical parameters work by analyzing a slice through the eye. The SliceWidth control
(app.SDA2.EyeMeasure.SliceWidth) adjusts the width of that slice in units of percent of a UI. Therefore, 100% spans
from grid line 2 on the left to 8 on the right. The default setting is 20%. The slice is centered in the UI.

ShowAvgPower

Bool

Average power is calculated over the entire UI. This parameters name reflects that it is meant to be
used for an optical signal, which is measured in Watts. For such a signal, since every upward
transition must be followed by a downward transition at some later time, the average power of the Eye
diagram should be half height of the Eye. In a Dual Eye mode that is still true for the Eye, however
the average power in Eye2 depends on the unknown ratio of 1 bits to 0 bits included in that eye. For
