Listening to the Radio

Preset radio stations in the system’s memory first
(see “Presetting Radio Stations” on page 109).

Press FM/AM repeatedly until “FM” or
“AM” appears in the front panel display.

The last received station is tuned in.

Press PRESET + or – repeatedly to select
the preset station you want.

Each time you press the button, the system
tunes in one preset station.

Adjust the volume by pressing 2 +/–.

To turn off the radio

Press HDD or DVD. Or, press [/1 to turn off the
system.

Note

The HDD and DVD buttons may not correctly function
immediately after turning on the system due to the
initialization. Wait for a while, and press the HDD or
DVD button again to switch the function.

To listen to non-preset radio stations

Use manual or automatic tuning in step 2.
For manual tuning, press TUNING + or –
repeatedly.
For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING +
or –. Automatic tuning stops automatically when
the system receives a radio station.
To stop automatic tuning manually, press
TUNING + or –.

To listen to radio stations when you know the
frequencies

Use direct tuning in step 2.

Press DIRECT TUNING.

Press the number buttons to select the
frequency number you want to listen to, press

Example: for 98.00 MHz
Press “9,” “8,” “0,” “0,” then press

.

Hints

• If reception of an FM programme is noisy, press FM/

AM MENU and select “FM MODE” using

M/m, then

press .

Press

M/m to select “MONO,” then press

.

There will be no stereo effect, but the reception will
improve. To return, select “STEREO.”

• To improve reception, reorient the supplied aerials.
