Hookups and Settings –BASIC–
Before Hooking Up the System
Follow steps 1 through 5 to hook up and adjust the settings of the system. Be sure to connect the mains
lead after all connections are complete.
Check that you have the following items.
• DVD recorder (1)
• Subwoofer (1)
• Speakers (2)
• Speaker stands (2)
• Screws (2)
• Speaker cord (1)
• System cord (1)
• Mains lead (1)
• Aerial cable (1)
• Set top box controller (1)
• Calibration mic (1)
• Remote commander (remote) (1)
• R6 (size AA) batteries (2)
• Setup disc (1)
• AM loop aerial (1)
• FM wire aerial (1)

• Plug in cords securely to prevent unwanted noise.
• Refer to the instructions supplied with the components to be connected.
• You cannot connect this recorder to a TV that does not have a SCART or video input jack.
• Be sure to disconnect the mains lead of each component before connecting.
