Selecting Movie or Music
Mode
You can choose a suitable sound mode for movies
or music.
Press MOVIE/MUSIC repeatedly during
playback until the mode you want appears in
the front panel display.
The default setting is underlined.
“AUTO”:
Selects a mode automatically to produce the best
sound effect depending on the disc.
“MOVIE”:
Provides sound for movies.
“MUSIC”:
Provides sound for music.

When movie or music mode is selected, “MOVIE” or
“MUSIC” is displayed on the front panel display.

Using Sound Fields
This system can create 5.1 channel surround
sound from two front speakers and a subwoofer.
You can take advantage of this front surround
sound simply by selecting one of the system’s
preprogrammed sound fields. They bring the
exciting and powerful sound of movie theatres
into your home.

Press SOUND FIELD.
The current sound field appears in the front
panel display.

Press M/m or SOUND FIELD repeatedly to
switch the sound field.
The front surround indicator indicates the
current surround status.
