Setting Security for Faxing

You can make security settings to prevent sending a fax to the wrong recipient, or prevent received documents
from being leaked or lost. You can also delete backed-up fax data.

1.

Enter Setup from the home screen.

2.

Select System Administration > Fax Settings > Security Settings.

3.

Select the menu, and then make the settings.

Checking Fax Jobs

Notification of Unprocessed Received Faxes

When there are unprocessed received documents, the number of unprocessed jobs is displayed on the fax mode
icon on the home screen. When the number of faxes exceeds 10, the icon changes to 10+. See the table below for a
definition of the "unprocessed".

Printing

Received documents are waiting to be printed or printing is in progress.

Saving in the inbox

There are unread received documents in the inbox.

Saving in an external memory
device

There are received documents that have not been saved in the device because there is
no device containing a folder specifically created to save received documents connected
to the printer or for other reasons.

Saving on a computer

There are received documents that have not been saved on the computer because the
computer is in sleep mode or for other reasons.
