You can reduce overexposed, clipped highlights.

Select [Highlight tone priority].

Under the [

Select [Enable].

Highlight details are improved. The
dynamic range is expanded from the
standard 18% gray to bright
highlights. The gradation between the
grays and highlights becomes
smoother.

Take the picture.

The image will be recorded with
highlight tone priority applied.

Highlight Tone Priority

] is set, noise may increase slightly.

With [

Enable

], the settable ISO speed range will start from ISO 200.

Expanded ISO speeds cannot be set.

When multiple exposures (p.248) is set, [

Highlight tone priority

] will be

automatically switched to [

Disable

].
