Enter a name for your system in the System name field.

To configure the date and time settings

From the Configuration tab, click the System folder to expand it.

Select Date and Time.

The Date and Time panel appears.

To configure DHCP server settings

From the Configuration tab, click the Data Services folder to expand it.

Select DHCP Server.

Select the General Settings tab.

Attribute

Description

Date and Time source

Set to NTP if the system uses a network server to determine the correct
time and date.

Set to Trunk to receive time and date settings from PSTN (if available).

Set to Manual to manually configure the time and date for your system.

NTP server address

If Date and Time source is set to NTP, then enter an address for the
server.

Date and time

Use the calendar to select the correct date and time.

Time zone

Select the time zone for this system.

DHCP server is

Select either enable or disable from the list.

IP domain name

The domain name of the network.

Primary DNS IP address

Specify the IP addresses of the primary DNS server in a valid dot format.

BCM50 automatically assigns the value for this parameter. If the IP address or
subnet mask for the corresponding LAN interface changes, this value is
overwritten. Use caution when changing this value.

Secondary DNS IP address Specify the IP addresses of the secondary DNS server in a valid dot format.

BCM50 automatically assigns the value for this parameter. If the IP address or
subnet mask for the corresponding LAN interface changes, this value is
overwritten. Use caution when changing this value.
