OVERVIEW
Storage ambient temperature: +0°C .. +50 °C.
Operating ambient temperature: +10°C .. +40 °C.
Maximum humidity : 20%…85°C provided that no condensation occurs.
The powers of the Diesel engines for stationary applications are in compliance with ISO
standard 3046/1: Ambient temperature 25°C ; Ambient pressure 1000 mbar ; Relative
humidity 30%.
Maximum elevation above sea level: 700 metres.
For installation above 200 meters a.s.l., the power of the Diesel engine is reduced by approx.
1.5% for each 100 meters of altitude.
Dusty or sandy environments, or humid marine environments can cause early deterioration
and compromise the good performance of the engine.
STORAGE
Where necessary, the diesel pump is supplied with starting batteries pre-charged with acid,
engine oil and coolant.
The pump must be put into service within 3-4 months. If the storage period exceeds this
term, follow the instructions provided by the engine and battery manufacturers.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
The following instructions cannot safeguard you from all the dangers arising from use of the
engine but must be supplemented by the common sense and experience of the personnel in
charge of operating the machine; these are the only accident prevention measures that are
truly indispensable.
1 Knowledge of the machine:
Carefully read all the instructions contained in the operating and maintenance manuals;
before starting the machine check the efficiency of the operating and safety devices.
2 Watch out for bystanders:
If you expect any dangerous situations to arise, signal manoeuvres in advance. Do not
allow untrained personnel to approach the machine while it is running
