Protect the exposed cables from accidental knocks or damage. Protect the power line
according to the regulations in force.
Use cables suitable for the type of installation, according to the regulations in force.
GROUNDING
The metal parts of the system that are subject to contact with people, and which as a result
of faulty insulation or any other cause could be energized, must be connected to a ground
plate. The panels are provided with a suitable grounding terminal. The connection cable to
the ground plate and the related contact resistance must be sized according to the
regulations and standards in force. If necessary, unipotential connections can be made, and
the base can be connected directly to the ground.
FIRE DIESEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL
The electrical control panel is pre-connected to the diesel pump. Refer to the wiring diagram
supplied together with the electrical panel for the connection of :

Starting devices ( pressure switch and/or level switch)
-
Alarm signalling devices
Level switch connection:
The level switch installed in the priming tanks for suction lift sets is designed to start the
diesel pump when the water level in the tank drops.
The level switch connection terminals are normally jumpered to enable operation. When
installing the level switch, make sure you remove the jumper found on the terminals.
The panel features clean contacts for signalling purposes, suitable for connection to alarms
and/or remote signalling devices, for the main functions:

Programmed alarm output

Automatic selector switch disabled

Failure to start

Engine running
-
Control unit failure

Low fuel level

Alarm
The electrical panel installation and maintenance operations may be performed by
qualified electricians only!
The diesel pump is an automatic starting machine that can start up even in the
absence of any voltage in the panel!
