Danger of corrosive substances, Danger of explosions, Eye protection required, Strictly no

naked flames or sparks in the vicinities.

Periodically check that there is no damage or deformation of the engine block or battery

cover. Make sure that the poles are not oxidized or damaged, and that the cable

terminals are properly connected to the battery. Check that the level of the electrolyte is

above the plates and that the battery charge is sufficient; if necessary, restore the level of

the acid solution using distilled (de-ionized) water. Whenever required, the batteries

must always be under continuous charge from the backup battery charger. Keep the

battery clean, if necessary use suitable protective grease on the terminals.

If the idle battery voltage is lower than 9V, disconnect the battery from the diesel pump

and recharge it using a high capacity quick charge battery charger. Observe the battery

manufacturer’s directions.

3) FUEL FILTER : periodically replace the fuel filter

4) BELTS: Periodically check the condition and tension of the belts

5) ELECTRICAL PANEL: the efficiency of the signals (warning lights, instruments) and the

proper operation of the electronic equipment should be checked on a monthly basis. The

fuses can be removed from the fuse carrier and checked using a circuit tester.

6) Periodically check, based on the hours of operation, the level of the lubricant and that of

the water (where applicable);

7) Make sure the fuel tank is always full. Use only suitable fuel as specified in the handbook

provided with the engine. Diesel oil for automotive diesel engines is normally specified

(calorific power below 10,200 kcal/kg).

The fuel tank supplied as standard ensures, when full, 6 hours autonomy of operation.

PERIODIC CHECKS

We recommend that you check the correct operation of the diesel pump at least once a

month, especially its starting response when the automatic starting device is triggered.

It is good practice to check the overall condition if the system as well.

Periodic maintenance is important to ensure the lasting efficiency of the diesel

pump set!

Refer to the LAWS, REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS locally in force for more restrictive

provisions on the subject of periodic checks.

ROUTINE BATTERY CHECKS

The Pb batteries used for the motors must be periodically checked.

On-site operating instructions:

Make sure the room is suitably ventilated.

Do not use naked flames or generate sparks near the product.

Inspect the battery/ies; in particular, make sure there are no deformations, breakages

and/or leaking liquid.

Make sure the batteries are clean.
