The emergency push-buttons may be used, one at a time, only in case of an emergency (e.g.
fire, with failure of the automatic engine control device).
After this initial operating period, proceed with the following checks:
Check the oil and water levels and top up as necessary.
Make sure there are no loose nuts and bolts.
With the engine running, watch out for excessive vibrations which may cause damage to
the system.
The preliminary checks must also take into account any excessive vibrations, proper anchoring
of the system base to the ground and the correct use of the expansion joints on the pipes
connected to the pressure assembly.
The diesel pump is an automatic starting machine that can start up even in the
absence of any voltage in the panel!
Observe the following rules to prevent any accidental start-ups:
- Starting batteries must be disconnected from the diesel pump set;
- Key operated selector switch on the control panel must be set to the “0” position.
MAINTENANCE
To ensure the long life of the diesel pump engine, the maintenance instructions supplied by
the manufacturer must be carefully observed.
It is also important that you keep a maintenance log showing all the scheduled operations to
be carried out, as well as the operating hours, service, refuelling, repair and maintenance
operations performed.
The maintenance operations must be carried out by specialized technicians equipped with
suitable equipment.
All the maintenance operations must be performed with the engine off and the key-operated
selector switch set to the “0” position. If possible, the batteries should also be disconnected.
The maintenance operations on the electrical panel must be performed with all the necessary
precautions because of the possible presence of live components.
Observe the safety instructions provided at the beginning of the manual!
