Select terminal strip:
The 8230 frequency inverter is controlled exclusively through the terminal strip. (The
STOP signal is also effective through the control unit).
MANUAL demand
This parameter determines the source of the demand preset in the “MANUAL” mode.

AUTO control
This parameter selects the source for control signals for “AUTO” operation.

As supplied: Terminal strip
Select control unit:
The control unit signals START, STOP, + (HIGHER), - (LOWER) and
ACKNOWLEDGE are effective. All other control signals continue to operate through
the terminal strip. In particular this means: If the drive is to be operated in the “AUTO”
mode through the control unit, the following terminals on the terminal strip are to be
connected to +24 V (terminal :1 or terminal :25):
Terminal :7 (STOP)
Terminal :8 (Fast STOP)
Terminal :10 (Inverter disable)
Terminal :12 (External error)
Terminal :9 or :11 (Direction)
