Malfunctioning receiver(s)

The signal from each receiver should have about the same strength at the sampling volume location.
If the differences exceed 10 to 20 counts, try the following: (1) Clean each transducer, and (2)
Make sure the beams are not physically blocked (i.e. biological growth or and air bubble being
entrapped).

Damaged receiver arm

If the sampling volume in one receiver is offset along the horizontal axis, the receiver arm has been
bent. Often, bent probes can be repaired quickly at the factory by unbending the arm and
recalibrating the probe (this procedure MUST be done at the factory).
