To reduce the amount of space taken up by files on the recorder you can uncheck parameters.
Recorder - Using the on-board system recorder is described in the Downloading the Data (Section
7).

The following fields will be available for you to change:
File Name - The File Name will be used as the prefix for the name of the data file stored on the
recorder. There is a maximum of 5 characters (Default: DEF).
Comments - Three lines of text have been allocated to describe the specifications for each
deployment. It is recommended that each deployment have its own unique set of comments.
Averaging Interval - The period of time (in seconds) over which the ADV6600 averages data
before computing a sample. (Default 60).
Sampling Interval - The time interval between sequential samples (in seconds). Defined as the time
from the start of one sample to the start of the next sample. The Sampling Interval must be greater
than or equal to the Averaging interval. (Default: 900).
Velocity Range - Please refer to your manual for more information (Default: AUTO).
Coordinate System - Please refer to your manual for more information (Default: ENU).
Enable Internal Recorder? – This should be checked for all regular deployments (Default:
Checked).
Record to a file on this computer when Start button is pressed (Default: Checked)

The amount of remaining recorder space left on your ADV6600 will also be displayed. Please keep
in mind the length of your deployment and the amount of space that will be required on the recorder
to store this data. It is highly recommended that you format the recorder (available when you press
the Recorder button) before a long deployment to ensure that the maximum recorder space is
available.

6-Starting the Deployment
Select Start realtime data collection or begin a regular deployment from the On-Screen Menu.

Data will be collected at your specified sampling rate from the Changing the System Settings on
your ADV6600.

Wait for a few samples to be displayed on the screen (if practical)
Close the Program.
You will be prompted as to whether you want to Stop Data Collection? Select No.
Disconnect the serial cable from the System.
Insert the dummy plug into the connection on the end of your ADV6600.
At the end of your deployment you will need to recover your data files from the ADV6600.
This step is covered in more detail in the manual.
