5.4.3. POE Overload

A. Setup

No.: Shows the number order of your port.

Port: Shows the currently active port of your NuPOE-32EL /NuPOE-32EL.

Module: The currently active module card.

Class: Scrolling down this field to choose the class of your test task in watts range.

Alter. : A network cable contains 4 twisted pair (8 totally) copper wire. The Alternative function can

lead input power from DUT to different pairs for the requirement of test allows you to choose which

pins provide the power. You can choose Mode A (Powered via Pin 1, 2, 3, and 6), or Mode B

(Powered via Pin 4, 5, 7, and 8). For more information regarding to network cable lines and how

they are related to RJ-45 jack, please refer to the Alternative explanation in 5.4.1 POE Connect.

Overload (Watt): User can define the power limit for overload. When your setting here is out of the

range set in Class field, a window will pop up for warning. If your setting is out of your module cards

limit loading, than the setting will be denied.

Prepare Load (Watt): Set the power for starting a test.

Prepare Load Time (ms): Set the time for starting a test.

Line Emulation (M): You can simulate the result of a test based on the length of a connection cable.

Cable Select(ohm/m): Select the type of cable.

Load Time Setting:

Time to Start: The period of time for starting the test.
Time to Stop: The period of time for stopping the test.
Test Period: You can set the amount of time for testing here.
