Installing Software for Windows
■ Using Plug and Play
1 Turn on the printer, then the scanner.
2 When the “ Ready ” is displayed on the printer’s LCD, turn
on the computer and start Windows 95.
The New Hardware Found window is displayed for a few seconds,
then the Update Device Driver Wizard window is displayed.
3 Insert the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM Disc2 in your CD-ROM
drive.
4 Click [NextÃ] .
5 Click [Other\Locations...] .
The Select Other Location window is displayed.
6 Type “X*:\WIN32\DISK1”.
* CD-ROM drive name differs depending on your computer.
7 Click [OK] .
The Update Device Driver Wizard window is displayed.
8 Click [Finish] .
The Choose Setup Language window is displayed.
9 Select the language, and click [OK] .
Wait until the Welcome window is displayed.
10 Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the
installation.
After installation, restart your system.
NOTE:
• The Plug and Play installation procedure varies depending on the version
of Windows 95. Refer to Help in Windows 95.
