Installing Software for Windows
Installing the software for Windows 95
To set up the printer as a PostScript printer you must install the PostScript
printer driver for Windows 95. This file is included on the KX-PS8100 CD-
ROM Disc1.
If autorun is enabled on your computer, when the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM
Disc1 is inserted in the CD-ROM drive the installer runs automatically,
allowing you to specify which files to install on your computer.
NOTE:
• If autorun is not enabled, you can run the installer by double-clicking the
CD-ROM drive icon in My Computer (Windows 95), or by double-clicking
the Setup.exe file in the installer folder on the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM
Disc1.
To install the PostScript printer driver:
1 Insert the KX-PS8100 CD-ROM Disc1 in your CD-ROM
drive.
The installer is launched automatically. Follow the instructions that
appear on the screen.
2 In the Setup Type window, select the Typical,
Compact, or Custom installation option.
3 Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
A message appears on the screen to indicate installation is
complete.

KX-PS8100 PPD.
Also copies the Adobe Type Manager installer
(Windows 95 only), Color Reference files and
Adobe PostScript 3 Fonts to your hard disk.
Compact The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver files and
PostScript 3 Fonts.
Custom Only the files you select—copies them to your
hard disk.
