5 When you have installed all the toner cartridges, close
the right side door.
Setting up the scanner
The general steps for setting up the scanner are:
• “Unlocking the scanner” on page 44
• “Installing the scanner on the printer” on page 45
• “Installing the Automatic Document Feeder” on page 47
The scanner must be unlocked before it can be used. The scanner lock is
located on the left of the scanner.
To unlock the scanner:
1 Turn the scanner lock counterclockwise with a flat-blade
screwdriver until the lock pops out.
