3 Connect the SCSI cable provided to the printer’s SCSI
connector and to the scanner’s SCSI connector.
The printer must be the last device in the chain because the printer
has only one SCSI connector.
4 Make sure the SCSI ID No. of the scanner is 2 and that
of the printer is 1. (They are the default settings.)
• If you have other devices connected to the computer, make sure
that each SCSI device has a different ID No.
• To change an ID No., use ID No. switches (#1, #2, #3) located on
the back of the scanner or ID No. switches (#2, #3, #4) located on
the back of the printer. See Table 1 on
page 66 .
5 Make sure the terminator switch (#4) of the scanner is
set to OFF and that switch (#1) of the printer is set to
ON. (They are the default settings.)
• If you have other devices connected to the computer, make sure
the terminator switches of all those devices are set to OFF.
• To change the terminator setting, use the terminator switch
located on the back of the units.
