Care and Maintenance
To clear media jams in location C:
1 Open the printer’s front door.

SAFETY CAUTION:
• The fuser is hot; to avoid personal injury, turn off the printer and
wait 10 minutes (after opening the printer’s front door) for the
fuser to cool before touching it.
2 Check whether the media is jammed under the color
imaging unit.
• If the media is jammed, remove it by following the steps 1 to 4 in
“To clear media jams in location B with media tray” on page 224
and then go to the next step.
• If it isn’t, go to the next step.
3 Turn the small green thumbscrew counterclockwise to
unlock the fuser.
