bridge multicast ipv6 mode
Use the bridge multicast ipv6 mode Interface (VLAN) Configuration mode
command to configure the Multicast bridging mode for IPv6 Multicast
packets. Use the no form of this command to return to the default
configuration.
Syntax
bridge multicast ipv6 mode {mac-group | ip-group | ip-src-group}
no bridge multicast ipv6 mode
Parameters
• mac-group—Specifies that Multicast bridging is based on the packet's
VLAN and MAC destination address.
• ip-group—Specifies that Multicast bridging is based on the packet's VLAN
and IPv6 destination address for IPv6 packets.
• ip-src-group—Specifies that Multicast bridging is based on the packet's
VLAN, IPv6 destination address and IPv6 source address for IPv6 packets.
Default Configuration
The default mode is mac-group.

Interface (VLAN) Configuration mode
User Guidelines
Use the mac-group mode when using a network management system that
uses a MIB based on the Multicast MAC address.
