5 – FILE LIST

Folder operations

Creating new folders

1. Press the FILE LIST key on the front of the unit to open

the AES31 file selection, take selection or playlist selection

screen. Then, press the FILE LIST key again to open the

folder selection screen.

2 Touch the NEW FOLDER button on the pull-up menu to

open the NEW FOLDER screen where you can input the

folder name.
Input the folder name.
See “Editing the name of a folder in the root directory” on

page 33 for the input method.

CAUTION

You cannot change folder names later.

You cannot use the “@” symbol at the beginning of a folder

name.

3. Touch the Enter button on the FOLDER NAME screen or

press the DATA dial.

4 Touch the OK button or press the DATA dial when the confir-

mation message appears on the pop-up window to create a

new folder with the input name.

NOTE

If the input folder name already exists, "This name already

exists" appears in a pop-up window. Touch the CLOSE

button to return to the FOLDER NAME screen, and enter a

different name.

Immediately after a new folder is created, it becomes the

current folder (loaded folder).
The letter “C” appears in the

icon to the left of the name

of the current folder on the folder selection screen.

Loading a folder

1. Press the FILE LIST key on the front of the unit to open

the AES31 file selection, take selection or playlist selection

screen. Then, press the FILE LIST key again to open the

folder selection screen.

2. Press the e button next to the folder that contains the

folder you want to load.

3. Select the folder that you want to load.
4. Touch the MENU button on the folder selection screen to

open the pull-up menu.

5. Touch the LOAD button in the pull-up menu.
6. Touch the OK button or press the DATA dial when a confir-

mation pop-up message appears.

After loading completes, the Home Screen opens.

NOTE

The letter “C” appears in the

icon to the left of the name

of the current folder (loaded folder) on the folder selection

screen.
