9 – Playlist mode

Editing fade-in/fade-out length and level

1. Press the HOME key on the front panel to open the Home

screen.

2. Touch the ADJUST ENTRY button on the pull-down menu

that is opened by touching a file or title name button.
The ADJUST ### screen opens. (“###” is the entry number.)

3. Touch the Start TC Fade/Level tab to open the screen shown

below.

4. Select the Fade In, Fade Out or Level knob and use the DATA

dial to set the value.
Ranges

o

Fade In/Out Length: 0 – 30 seconds

(0.1 second per step or 1.0 second per step when the dial

is pressed and rotated)

o

Level: −∞ to +10dB

NOTE

After the length of a fade is changed, the value will be

automatically adjusted to a value that will fit within the

playback Start/End time interval.

The playback level is shown by a solid red line.

The reference level (0 dB) is shown by a dotted orange line.

Rehearsal playback

You can use the transport controls for rehearsal playback while

on the ADJUST ENTRY screen.

o

The operation is the same as during normal transport

operation except that the . and / keys are used to

jump to the entry's file beginning, Start Point, End Point

and file end.

o

If you change the Start Point or Fade In Length, the

playback position will move to the Start Point. If you

change it during playback, playback will continue after

jumping to the new playback position.

o

If you change the End Point or Fade Out Length, the

playback position will move as follows. If you change it

during playback, playback will continue after jumping to

the new playback position.

Touch the PREVIEW button to change the contents of the

rehearsal playback.

Rehearsal playback when PREVIEW is off

o

The original audio is played back without fade in/out or

level adjustments applied.

o

You can move out of the Start/End Point range.

o

When the End Point is reached during playback, playback

jumps back to the Start Point and stops.

Press the PLAY key to start playback from the Start Point.
Use the . key, / key, SHIFT + / key and the

JOG/SHUTTLE dial to move playback to after the End

Point.

Rehearsal playback when PREVIEW is on

o

Only the interval between the Start Point and the End

Point is played back.

Locating to a point outside of that range is not possible.

o

The audio is played back with fade in/out and level adjust-

ments applied.
