Read message +CMGR (Chapter 8)

Description: This command allows the application to read stored messages. The messages are read

from the memory selected by +CPMS command. A message read with status “REC
UNREAD” will be updated in memory with the status “REC READ”.

Note: The <stat> parameter for SMS Status Reports is always “READ”.


Values:

all messages


Note:
For SMS Status Reports, only “ALL” and “READ” values of the <stat> parameter will
list messages ; other values will only return OK.

<oa/da>: Origination/destination address value in string format. <od/da> will be displayed
only if the message <privacy> value is 0 (Normal).

<scts>: Service Center Time Stamp in string format : “yy/MM/dd,hh :mm :ss±zz”
(Year/Month/Day,Hour:Min:Seconds±TimeZone)

<dt>: Discharge Time in string format: “yy/MM/dd,hh :mm :ss±zz” (Year [00-99], Month [01-
12], Day [01-31], Hour, Minute, Second and Time Zone [quarters of an hour] )

<st>: Status of a SMS-STATUS-REPORT (See Chapter 20)
<lang>: Language

<encod>: Encoding

<priority>: Message priority:

0 – Normal
1 – Interactive
2 – Urgent
3 – Emergency

<privacy>: Message privacy:

0 – Normal
1 – Restricted
2 – Confidential
3 – Secret

<reply>: Message reply option:

0 – No Acknowledge
1 – Delivery Acknowledge

<cbn>: Call Back Number

<length>: Length of the text message (in bytes).

<data>: Message text
