Roam Preference +WRMP
Description: The Roam Preference of a CDMA modem informs the MS whether it is allowed to roam on
foreign CDMA networks or only allow operation on home networks. The determination of
what is a foreign or home network is programmed into the PRL (Preferring Roaming List).
This command simply enables or disables the capability of the MS to roam, based on the
PRL configuration. If the setting is accepted by the MS, the value will be written to non-
volatile RAM and persist after a power-cycle. After execution of the +WRMP command, the
MS may change roaming states. The unsolicited result +WROM: <mode> will indicate the
new state. See Unsolicited Result Codes in Chapter 3.
Note: This command is not available in Sprint®. and Verizon. software versions.
Values: The parameter values are the following ones:
<mode>
0: Home Networks only, as defined in the PRL (default value)
1: Roaming on Affiliated networks, as defined in the PRL
2: Roaming on Any Network, as defined in the PRL.
Syntax: Command syntax: AT+WRMP=<mode>
