To configure IIS:
1. On the server, on which you intend to install the Advanced
Server components, go to Start > Administrative Tools >
Server Manager. The Server Manager dialog box appears.
2. Under Server Manager, click Roles.
3. Under Roles Summary in the right pane of the dialog box,
click Add Roles. The Add Roles wizard appears.
4. Click Next.
5. On the Select Server Roles page, click Web Server (IIS).
6. Click Next.
7. On the Web Server (IIS) page, click Next.
8. On the Select Role Services page, select the following roles:
• Under Application Development:
• ASP.NET
• .NET Extensibility
• ISAPI Extensions
• ISAPI Filters
• Under Management Tools:
• IIS 6 Management Compatibility (including all child
components)
If prompted, add required role services recommended by the
wizard of the role you have selected.
9. Click Next, and then Install.
10. After the installation is complete, click Close.
